Description

If you teach play skills to early learners or students with autism or other disabilities, this social narrative is made for you! This is a one page visual geared toward teaching appropriate game play time social skills such as taking turns and tolerating winning and losing games. Two visual cue cards are also included.

Visuals are a great way to promote positive behaviors and enhance classroom rules during play time for young students!

What’s included:

A one page story with about eight lines of text that explain the expectations of game playing (e.g., setting up the game, taking turns, saying “Good game” regardless of who wins). Clear and colorful pictures are included so that students can follow along as an adult reads the story aloud.

2 visual cue cards included that can be used as visual prompts/script cues for students to utilize common phrases of “It’s your turn!” and “Good Game!”. Holding up these cards at expected times can help fade verbal prompts from staff during these teaching scenarios.
